Hatch

After we finished holding the “Sunny Auditions” event, it was time to narrow the contestants down from 10 to 5. It was hard to choose only five from all of the sweet Goldens. I picked Hatch, Sunny, Misha, Moxie, and McGee.

Then, with the help of my videographer, we put together a reel so people could vote for the Golden they thought best captured Sunny's personality. I shared it on all of my platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook). It was so much fun watching people vote for their favorite! I texted my friends, and my family reached out to people they knew to vote as well. I appreciated everyone who joined in and made the event so much fun.

When the voting period ended, we counted the votes from all of my platforms. It was a close race, which made it even more exciting. In the end, Hatch received the most votes!

I then posted a reel announcing that Hatch was the People's Choice winner. It was so much fun seeing everyone tune in to find out who had won. I loved watching people celebrate Hatch and the role he played in inspiring Sunny.

After the announcement, I went shopping for Hatch's prize. I put together a box full of goodies that my own dog loves.

I contacted Hatch's wonderful parents to see if we could drop off his prize. My daughter and I delivered it, and it would be an understatement to say Hatch was excited! He absolutely loved his prize, and seeing his excitement made the visit even more special. I shared the experience on social media so everyone who had voted could celebrate with us.

Now for a fun surprise! Hatch won't just be the People's Choice winner; he'll also be making a special appearance at my book launch in September. I can't wait for everyone to meet him in person!
